Hi,

We are excited to announce the availability of CloudMagic 2.0 – a major release. You will feel the real power of integrated search for the first time. You have always loved the blazing search speed of CloudMagic & have saved several hours a week while searching & composing emails. Now CloudMagic extends its super fast search for many other online services. Listed below are the Google & Google apps account services that are supported:

  • Emails
  • Contacts
  • Documents
  • Spreadsheets
  • Presentations
  • Forms

CloudMagic 2.0 also boasts many UI enhancements to make your search better & faster. Few noteworthy changes are – a) tabbed interface for emails, docs & contacts search results & b) full screen mode for integrated search in emails, docs & contacts. You continue to get rich preview of the content inside search results. With CloudMagic 2.0 you can refer to other emails & docs while composing a message without opening different tab or window. Similarly you can refer to any docs or emails while working on docs.

Check out all new CloudMagic 2.0 in action below:

Today, CloudMagic supports more services, more platforms & more browsers. It couldn’t have been where it is without your continued support & feedback. Thanks for all the love. Twitter & Facebook support is coming soon.

Cheers,
Team CloudMagic

I installed cloudmagic, but the box keeps moving around. I put it on the side (on a pin tab with gmail, in chrome), and when Igo back to the tab, or I close chrome, and restart it, the box has move somewhere else from where I left it...

Extremely annoying, and I have to say, if it keeps this up, deal-breaker...

@Ashish, glad that you like it. Keep us posted if you have any feedback.

@bitsbite, thanks for elaborating it. Even I think an independent search box would be a great idea. Adding it to the wish-list.

One needs to load gmail to use the search function.

Quick search is the box usually in the upper right.

I have a temporary solution:

Add keyword for Google search,

Replace location with: https://www.cloudmagic.com/res/2_2_Beta/cloudmagic.php?ts=1296711446#search?category=&query=%s

Unfortunately it breaks with the updates. (url contains version number)

You lose the instant search but it's faster than going to gmail first.

A quick search box would be even better.

If it could be coded to behave just as in Gmail that would be amazing. Sites can already provide suggestions, so it might not even be too far fetched.

Thanks for an excellent search solution! This is so handy that Google should acquire this. And the in-search previews for emails and docs are very well done saving a ton of time compared to opening the actual email/doc.

No immediate plans as such. Adding it to the wish-list.

Hi there, are there any plans to search bookmarks (Google Bookmarks, Diigo etc...) and knowledge base like Google Reader?

@BrianK,

Yep, it does not work on Firefox 4 beta yet. Its the first thing that we'll concentrate on. You can expect a version supporting Firefox 4 in couple of weeks.

I love the add-on - works great for me in Chrome, but can't get it working on the latest Firefox beta (4.0b10) on Mac (OS X 10.6.6).

@bitsbite,

CloudMagic works on Firefox too. Am I missing something?

Please add a quick search plug-in for Firefox.
